New big bag closing solution

Food & Packaging

Intelligent packaging solutions by ASA Automation

With this ATEX-certified bag-closure machine by ASA Automation the bag is first filled automatically. After that the carton is transferred into the cell and is stopped at a certain position. The two robots pull up the edges of the bag, squeeze them in a way that as little air as possible remains in the bag and close it. In order to do this, the part of the pouch which extends beyond the edge of the carton is gripped by a robot, is then twisted by turning the carton, and finally a closure is applied. Different closure types can be applied depending on the contents and customer requirements. Overall, the complete work cycle takes less than 20 seconds.

Flexible adaptation to different packaging volumes and packaging units

Clearly defined interfaces of the ASA Automation machine concept allow step-by-step automation of preceding or subsequent work processes. This makes it comparatively easy to adapt the system to increasing packaging volumes and to process packaging units with different contents.
